Scope and Contents
The Dean of Human Services and Sciences subject file consists of reports, minutes, meetings and information on the Health and Human Services of SSU. The file deals with the Academic standards committee, Budget Information, the Child Family & Committee, Graduate record examination, and Public Affairs Colloquia. This file also contains the 1982 & 1983 summer budgets, the Personnel Policies committee and the University Program Evaluation committee.

History
The classes that made up the Human Services department have been a part of several different departments at Sangamon State University (SSU) since its early days. The classes didn’t become their own separate department until the middle 1970s. The department changed its name from Human Services to Health and Human Services in 1986. Currently the department falls under the College of Public Affairs and Education.
