The Dean of Human Services and Sciences subject file consists of reports, minutes, meetings and information on the Health and Human Services of SSU. The file deals with the Academic standards committee, Budget Information, the Child Family & Committee, Graduate record examination, and Public Affairs Colloquia. This file also contains the 1982 & 1983 summer budgets, the Personnel Policies committee and the University Program Evaluation committee.

This collection includes the research papers that were written as part of the grant request process, as well as some information about why they wanted the grant money. Also included in the collection are grant requests that pertain to general Springfield improvements as well as some project proposals.

This collection includes documents pertaining to the creations of certain sub majors as well as the creation of class and the processes involved with that. There is also some information about the dean’s office and the President’s office as well as memos and meeting minutes from both offices. There is also more general information related to the Social Science fields and meetings.

Included in this collection is information about the running of the program as well as the communications with the Gerontology Institute and the Gerontology program at Sangamon State University. There is also some information about one of the classes that was offered on campus.

This collection includes the theses and PhD dissertations that have been given to the Archives. The collection was originally organized by topic and/or department. Starting in 2024, the theses are listed in the order in which they were added to the collection.

While the collection does include signficiant portion of the theses and dissertations put out by students, there are works that have not been given to the archives.
