The Student Senate newsletters are published monhtly and report the following topics; student activity fees, IL Student Association, Student Activities Report, upcoming university events and student- to-student book exchange. Newsletters are arranged chronologically.
D2/1/2. Alumni Association "Horizons" and Alumni Magazine, 1996-
The University of Illinois Alumni Association Newsletter was originally a tri-annual publication sent to Alumni of the Springfield Campus. Its first publication was Winter 1996 and was distributed Winter, Spring and Fall. The newsletter continued in a magazine format titled "Horizons" from 1996 to Summer of 2007 and was published quarterly. In Fall 2007, it continues as the "UIS Alumni Magazine" and is published in the Fall, Spring and Summer.

File contains information pertaining to the origination Friends of the Prairie Stars. Founded in 1979, this non-for-profit athletic booster club has sought to provide financial support to the athletic teams at SSU/UIS. Documents include meeting agendas and minutes, membership lists, financial reports and tax documents as well as records of athlete scholarships, fundraisers and membership drives.
K7/1/3. Robert Marsh (Registrar). Early SSU registration materials
Robert Marsh was the first registrar for SSU and this collection documents the occasion of the first day of registration (September 1970) at the Illinois State Fairgrounds, among other early university milestones. This collection consists of photographs, newspaper clippings, original registration documents, memos and newsletters regarding SSU, and the donor's letter written on the first SSU letterhead (pre-cloverleaf SSU logo).

Horizons is the University of Illinois Alumni Association Newsletter sent to Alumni of the Springfield Campus. Its first publication was Winter 1996. The newsletter is a tri-annual publication being sent out, originally in the Winter, Spring and Fall and now in the Fall, Spring and Summer.
