The Dean of Human Services and Sciences subject file consists of reports, minutes, meetings and information on the Health and Human Services of SSU. The file deals with the Academic standards committee, Budget Information, the Child Family & Committee, Graduate record examination, and Public Affairs Colloquia. This file also contains the 1982 & 1983 summer budgets, the Personnel Policies committee and the University Program Evaluation committee.

Included in this collection is information on the science classes that where under the Dean of Natural Sciences ranging from natural science to nursing. Also included in this collection is information about the budget that the Dean had as well as correspondences with outside universities and Illinois Governmental bodies.

Scope and Contents This collection contains the personal papers of Mattilou Catchpole relating to her time as an Associate Professor at Sangamon State University (later University of Illinois-Springfield. Catchpole was hired as an Associate Professor in the Health and Human Services program and later became director of the Nurse Anesthesia Program; after that program was discontinued, she joined the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences as an Associate Professor of Women’s Studies.
