History Program Records
Scope and Contents
Records of the History program include minutes, memos, working papers, project proposals, program proposals and scholarly papers by faculty members. Administrative reports provide an outline of the program's historical development.
This collection includes one series (Faculty) that deals with faculty files, papers, and tenure related materials.
This collection has four series: Minutes, Budget, Faculty Files, and History Program Review Committee.

History
The History department at Sangamon State University was one of the original programs offered and it offered both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts. Over the years, the program has grown to now offer a B.A. in History (as well as one with a world history concentration), an M.A. (as well as with an American History concentration, a European and World History concentration, and Public History concentration), and a minor. Both the undergraduate major and the minor can be done either online or in-person. The master’s program is done in-person. The program offers internships in various places both on and off campus as well as projects through local history.
