Scope and Contents
This collection includes documents pertaining to the creations of certain sub majors as well as the creation of class and the processes involved with that. There is also some information about the dean’s office and the President’s office as well as memos and meeting minutes from both offices. There is also more general information related to the Social Science fields and meetings.

History
The Deans office of Social Sciences was active on Sangamon State University campus from the earliest days of the university. After 1975 the classes that were a part of the dean’s office were split up and put under different departments. Then the office was dissolved after the classes were sent to different departments.
