Scope and Contents
Included in this collection are cassette tapes from guest speakers for the Gerontology classes that were taught on campus. There are also some cassette tapes from workshops and other similar events that were put on by the Gerontology program.

History
The Gerontology Program was the study of the elderly and the consequences that come with aging ranging from biology to the social studies behind aging. The Gerontology Program was originally only available as an individual study option until 1977 when it was created as an area of study available only available to master’s students. It would never be made available to Undergraduate Student until it was officially removed as an area of study in 1985.
