This collection contains the personal papers of Charles T. Robb relating to his time as a member of the Handy Writers’ Colony and his life after leaving the colony. It contains correspondence with colony leader Lowney Handy and member Charles Wright, notes about the colony leaders, journal entries, and poetry written by Robb. It is arranged alphabetically.

Scope and Contents The bulk of this collection relates to James Jones: Reveille to Taps, a documentary produced by Lennon and Jeffrey Van Davis for Sangamon State University and the Illinois Humanities Council in cooperation with the National Endowment for the Humanities, copyright 1984. The documentary explores James Jones' life and work, his childhood in Illinois, and his stay at the Handy Colony and his relationship with Lowney Handy.
