‘One in the Middle,’ is a partially fictionalized memoir written by Vivian Turner McClellan. It discusses her childhood and young adulthood as well as her sister Lowney Turner Handy and author James Jones.

Biography
Vivian Turner was born around 1915 to James and Fannie Turner. She was the younger sister of Lowney Turner Handy, the founder of the Handy Writer’s Colony. She married Paul H. McClellan. She passed away in 2018.
