This collection relates to the Board of Education for Springfield Public Schools, of which Jordan was a member from 1976-1982. It primarily contains meeting minutes of Board meetings, with a small amount of correspondence, petitions, court documents, and similar material relating to the desegregation of the Springfield Public Schools. Arranged chronologically.

This collection was reprocessed in March 2025. The order was kept as close to the original as possible.

The collection contains three slide series, and one series of cassette tapes. The cassette tapes contain audio from intersessions, WSSR Interviews, Ads, and University Convocations.
