SANGAMON ORDNANCE PLANT PROJECT
Groves recalls her experiences during WWII as a nurse at the Sangamon Ordnance Plant. She recalls the plant medical facilities, job-related injuries, women and minorities in the work force, housing for workers, and dismantling the plant. Also discusses security, transportation, sanitation, wages, and her later career as an industrial nurse.
