Scope and Contents

HISTORICAL SITES PROJECT The memoir is comprised of interviews with officials from the Illinois State Historical Library, Illinois State Archives, Illinois State Museum, a former state historian, and other specialists in historical architecture and preservation. They discuss Springfield local historic sites, restoration of the Old State Capitol, Statehouse, Illinois State Archives Building, Lincoln Home, restoration of the Governor's Mansion, and Clayville. Other Illinois historical buildings are also discussed.
