This collection contains the papers and audio recordings of the intersession titled “Crisis in Confidence” This intersession included speakers of Robert C. Spencer, Warren Miller, Richard M. Scammon, Patrick Buchanan, Herbert Klein, James Wall, Thomas G. Wicker, John B. Anderson, George Reedy, Lawrence F. O’Brien, Herbert Alexander, Robert H. Finch, Richard Hatcher, and Governor Daniel Walker.

This collection includes both reel-to-reel audio tapes as well as cassette copies of the reels.

History

The intersession classes were an intensive week-long event that was put on by the Public Affairs Center (PAC). These sessions fell under the Public Affairs Colloquia and brought in national and international figures of the time to address a particular topic. There were opportunities for both large and small group discussions with both participants and faculty members who taught these sessions. The Intersessions lasted through roughly till 1995.
