Scope and Contents

Writer and poet, resident of New York City and Lincoln, Maine. Member of the Handy Colony in Marshall, Illinois, 1953, 1955-57.

Includes Robb's journal, 1969-1981, recording personal incidents, ideas for poetry and works in progress; approximately 130 handwritten and typed manuscripts of poems, often with multiple versions and drafts; two letters from former Handy Colony writer Charles Stevenson Wright to Robb, 1965; eight letters from Lowney Handy to Robb, 1959-1963, including Handy's commentary on Robb's writing; Robb's Handy Colony membership certificate, 1953; clippings on poetry and literature, and on Robb's arrest in Lincoln, Maine in 1984; five copies of novels by James Jones, including a signed, presentation first edition of From Here to Eternity, inscribed by Jones to Robb, 1951.
