This collection includes minutes, memoranda, recommendations, self-evaluations, correspondence, questionnaire responses and audio tape cassettes documenting the activities of the University Personnel Committee, Tenure Decision Committee, Cluster Personnel Committees, and Program Personnel Committees from 1972 to 1980.

History
Currently, at the time of reprocessing, the tenure review committee consists of seven tenured faculty members which are elected at large by campus wide vote of faculty members. No more than two members may be from the same college and no more than one member may be from the same department. This committee’s purpose is to be the group that protects academic freedom and tenure status by reviewing tenure and promotion cases, as well as investigating potential infringement on said freedom, and making recommendations to the Chancellor and campus senate.
