History
The Business Affairs department was one of the first departments on the campus of Sangamon State University (SSU). This department was renamed in 1979 to the Business and Administrative Services Department. This department handled the day-to-day business of the University such as accounting, personnel, telecommunications, etc. In 2006, the department was eliminated and the departments that were in this larger department were moved into other areas of the university. What was the Vice Chancellor of Business and Administrative Services becoming the Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs and Administrative Services.
