Scope and Contents
Each contingency plan contains three templates: the first, administrative information such as unit head and contributors to the contingency process; the second, a chart listing functions of the unit and brief descriptions of the continuity and recovery plans and measure to minimize risk, and the third, a more detailed description for other topics provided in template 2.

History
The Y2K Contingency Plan was created by the Y2K Committee and the Campus Contingency Planning Team to ensure the Y2K readiness of all campus units. Both committees were appointed by the Chancellor's Executive Council. The plan includes a prioritized list of campus and external critical service and a risk analysis and contingency plan for individual campus units.
