SHAWNEETOWN BANK PROJECT Sherman, resident of Shawneetown, recalls the Shawneetown Bank: bank lobby, furnishings, marble counters, and ironwork, as well as individual tellers and cashiers. She also recalls the bank's apartments: layout of rooms and furnishings, the coal furnace, kitchen, bedrooms, tenants, the second and third floors, and the 1937 flood.
