Student organizations files from Student Affairs for the years, 1979-94. Includes candidate lists for Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges for the years 1979, 1983-91 and Inter-Club minutes, rules, budgets and memos from 1991-1994. File also includes evaluation of student club activity on campus, club activity grant requests and campus organization register forms. Individual folders include miscellaneous memos for each group on campus.

Student Services Housing Records includes correspondence of Dean of Students, Homer Butler and housing coordinators Ernie Eden, Barbara Paiton, and Ted Rucker; applications, contracts, and resident lists for student housing units; brochures, guides, surveys, reports and rent projections for student housing. Also includes material relating to the Springfield Cooperative Housing Association and literature and slides relating to student housing at other universities.

File contains information pertaining to the origination Friends of the Prairie Stars. Founded in 1979, this non-for-profit athletic booster club has sought to provide financial support to the athletic teams at SSU/UIS. Documents include meeting agendas and minutes, membership lists, financial reports and tax documents as well as records of athlete scholarships, fundraisers and membership drives.

K7/1/3. Robert Marsh (Registrar). Early SSU registration materials
Robert Marsh was the first registrar for SSU and this collection documents the occasion of the first day of registration (September 1970) at the Illinois State Fairgrounds, among other early university milestones. This collection consists of photographs, newspaper clippings, original registration documents, memos and newsletters regarding SSU, and the donor's letter written on the first SSU letterhead (pre-cloverleaf SSU logo).
