File contains information pertaining to the origination Friends of the Prairie Stars. Founded in 1979, this non-for-profit athletic booster club has sought to provide financial support to the athletic teams at SSU/UIS. Documents include meeting agendas and minutes, membership lists, financial reports and tax documents as well as records of athlete scholarships, fundraisers and membership drives.

Four reels of 35mm color negative film, showing the 1997 UIS graduating class attending the commencement ceremonies of May 10, 1997. The film contains photos of graduates, both individually and with spouses, family members, etc. Includes a 9 page alphabetical index of the graduates showing the roll and frame number. Photos taken by Chappell Studio, Inc., of Fairfield, Iowa.

Robert Marsh was the first registrar for SSU and this collection documents the occasion of the first day of registration (September 1970) at the Illinois State Fairgrounds, among other early university milestones. This collection consists of photographs, newspaper clippings, original registration documents, memos and newsletters regarding SSU, and the donor's letter written on the first SSU letterhead (pre-cloverleaf SSU logo).
