This student Senate file contains working papers, minutes, bills and resolutions from 1980-1986. Topics include: student activities, Student Senate appointments, Student Senate by-laws, Student Senate handbooks, Morale development and budget.

These records document the early history of the Student Senate, which was established by the adoption of the SSU constitution in February 1975. They consist of official records, agendas, minutes as well as working papers, correspondnece, memos, reports, announcements and meeting notes.

The Student Senate newsletters are published monhtly and report the following topics; student activity fees, IL Student Association, Student Activities Report, upcoming university events and student- to-student book exchange. Newsletters are arranged chronologically.
