Scope and Contents

Yosh Golden, born at the Japanese relocation center at Manzanar, California during WWII, recalls the experiences of her parent's internment. She discusses her family background, relations with Caucasion Americans, ties to Japan before the war, causes of the war with Japan, internment of her family, their attitude toward imprisonment, seizure of the family's property, conditions at the camp, separation of family members, life after the war, and the racism directed against Japanese-Americans.
