J.D. Myers, journalist, discusses his career in journalism and politics: his work in Dayton, Ohio at the Dayton Journal and Daily News; the Springfield State Journal and the Progressive Miners' Illinois Miner; Governor Henry Horner; and work with the Housing Authority Board and School Board. He also discusses life, family, and the Hungarian colony in Dayton. Also discusses Springfield early through mid 20th century, newspapers, flooding on the Illinois River at Beardstown, Depression, and WWII, Temple B'rith Sholom, anti-Semitism, community life and social activities.
