Scope and Contents

Virginia Lake, archivist and records manager, recalls her family background, life in New York City in the early 1900's, and her marriage and travels during WWII. She also discusses her work as an archivist in the Air Force, work as an Illinois state employee, problems under Governor Walker, her work as a consultant and her involvement in the ERA movement. Also discusses her retirement activities, weaving and artwork, and her role in the Retired State Employees Association.
