ADLAI E. STEVENSON PROJECT Witwer, lawyer, recalls his association with Adlai E. Stevenson II: the gubernatorial campaign in 1948 and Stevenson's interest in a revision of the Illinois Constitution. Witwer also discusses his own work as chairman of the Bar Association Standing Committee for Constitutional Revision and as chairman for Citizen's Committee for a Constitutional Convention. He also discusses the Gateway Amendment and party politics in relation to the revision of the state Constitution.
