This collection contains the personal papers of Barbara Hayler relating to her time as a Professor of Criminal Justice at Sangamon State University. It includes reports, articles, flyers, newspaper clippings, and collected publications pertaining to women's rights, the 1970s women's liberation movement, and sexual harassment within the workplace. Includes articles, notes, correspondence, and other material related to a 1980 survey conducted by Hayler regarding sexual harassment of female Illinois state government employees.

Biography

Barbara Hayler was born in California. She attended Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon for her undergraduate education. She moved to Springfield, Illinois to accept a position as Professor of Criminal Justice at Sangamon State University (later University of Illinois-Springfield).
