The Office of Budget and Planning, now named the Office of Budget and Financial Analysis (OBFA), has been a part of Sangamon State University (now University of Illinois – Springfield) since the beginning. This department provides fiscal information, analysis, and forecasting to the upper administration to inform decision-making and allocation of resources for the UIS campus. They also monitor the financial performance of the campus, provide support for academic development, and provide budget adjustments for campus, among other operations.
