Dennis Fox Papers
Scope and Contents
This collection contains the personal papers of Dennis Fox relating to this time as Professor of Legal Studies at Sangamon State University (later University of Illinois-Springfield). The bulk of the collection relates to his 1995 arrest for distributing leaflets in the university cafeteria. Also includes the faculty senate draft resolutions pertaining to rights of freedom of speech and assembly on campus, and various leaflet campaigns concerning lack of vegetarian foods served in the cafeteria and administrative salary increases 1990-93. Arranged alphabetically.

Biography
Dennis Fox was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1949. He received his B.A. in Psychology from Brooklyn College in 1970, his M.A. in Social Psychology from Michigan State in 1971, and his Ph.D in 1985 from the same school. Prior to returning to Michigan for his Ph.D, Fox spent time in Israel, New York, Massachusetts, and California.
Fox joined Sangamon State University in 1988. He was critical of the school’s transition to the University of Illinois-Springfield and in 1998 took early retirement from his position of Professor of Legal Studies and Psychology.
