TELEPHONE PROJECT Workman discusses her career in the telephone business from 1907-1961 as operator, a trainer of operators, traffic supervisor, and member of the Board of Directors of the Independent Telephone Pioneer Association. She recalls various telephone companies, changes in the business over the years, and writing for a telephone trade journal. She also discusses growing up in Springfield and the race riot of 1908.
