History
The Council on Academic Affairs was created at the beginning of the university in the 1970s as a committee under the Senate to deal with academic issues. They discussed topics including but not limited to advising, student recruitment, graduation, program development, faculty evaluation, and admissions.
Over the years, the Council on Academic Affairs has changed names as well as its duties and responsibilities. Currently, the items that use to fall under the Council’s per view, now are spread out over a variety of different committees such as Admissions, Recruitment, and Retention.
