Scope and Contents
Dr. Phillip M. Gregg is an honored Professor Emeritus of the University of Illinois at Springfield. He received his Bachelors degree from Oregon State University and his Masters degree and Doctoral degree from Indiana University. Gregg started his professional career as an executive trainee for the Office of the Secretary of Defense from 1963-1965 and an executive secretary for the Carnegie-International Development Research Center from 1964-1966. He would then become an assistant professor for the Department of Political Science and the School of Natural Resources at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor from 1968-1972. He moved on to becoming a visiting assistant professor for the Department of Political Science at Indiana University at Bloomington from 1974-1976. He would go on to become the Professor of Public Administration and Public Affairs at the Public Administration Department at the University of Illinois at Springfield from 1976-2001. He has been awarded the Extra Merit Award (1977, 1988), the Distinguished Service Award (1991), and the Aaron Wildavsky Book Award (1997) for his book, Problems of Theory in Policy Analysis.
