Royer recalls her work for the State of Illinois: as a typist in the Title Department and a secretary in the Department of Registration and Education; working for Secretaries of State Edward J. Barrett and Edward J. Hughes; the administration of Governor James Thompson; and retirement. She also discusses her work and interest in horses, training stables and horse shows. Also early life in Gridley, Illinois: family, farm life, education and the Depression. Also talks about living in New Mexico for a few years as a young child.
