Scope and Contents
Women's Studies Committee records, (1972-) consist of committee minutes, correspondence, and working papers, the newsletter "Newsline" (1979-88), brochures, fund requests, and announcements. Also included are correspondence, minutes, memos and working papers on Women's Studies course listings and descriptions. The Women's Studies Committee was formed in 1973 to support students who want to concentrate in women's studies, to provide appropriate sequences of courses for students wishing to minor in women's studies and to work with existing programs in curriculum development in the area of women's studies.
