Foreman, teacher and former Mayor of Jacksonville, Illinois, discusses her early life in Jacksonville: family, her father's teaching career with the deaf, friends and neighbors, neighborhoods and parks, early education and Routt High School, homemade foods, home life, summer vacations in Michigan, and streetcars and automobiles. She discusses attending Illinois College, classmates there, WWI homefront, discrimination against Catholics and blacks, and Jacksonville businesses.
