ILLINOIS GENERAL ASSEMBLY ORAL HISTORY PROGRAM
Saperstein, Democratic member of the Illinois House of Representatives 1957-67 and Illinois Senate 1967-77, discusses her work in the General Assembly with such issues as education, public aid, public health, judicial reform and women's rights. She also discusses her work before the General Assembly as president of the Chicago Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), the Chicago Area Project, the League of Women Voters, and the Juvenile Protection Association. Also discusses the Chicago City Council and the Chicago Board of Health.
