Selcke recalls his political work in Illinois: as Republican clerk in Menard County; impressions of Governor William Stratton; his work as Superintendent of Registration and Education; as clerk of the Illinois House of Representatives; and the political struggles and leaders of the 1960's and 1970's. Also discusses his family, moving, education, and his early life in Texas, Missouri, and Illinois; attending Northwestern University; and his service in the Navy during WWII.
