He recalls education, farming, and community in Rochester, Illinois; Lincoln College of Law; work for the Taxpayers' Federation of Illinois; Depression and WWII; Illinois politics, the General Assembly and Illinois Governors Green, Stevenson, Stratton, Kerner, Shapiro, Ogilvie, Walker, and Thompson; and the 1970 Constitutional Convention.
