Adlai E. Stevenson III discusses his father, Adlai E. Stevenson II: his administration as Governor of Illinois; position at the United Nations; relationship to President Kennedy; political strategies; the 1960 Democratic Convention; and his father's death and funeral. He discusses growing up: his mother, health, his brothers, the family home in Libertyville, Illinois, family attitudes, helping his father on the campaign trail, and his own political career.
