ADLAI E. STEVENSON PROJECT
Dr. Graebel, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Spring-field, recalls his relationship with Adlai Stevenson II, Stevenson's political career, entertaining at the governor's mansion, Stevenson as a member of the congregation, services held at the church and its role in the history of Springfield. He also discusses Stevenson's work at the United Nations, his reaction to the Bay of Pigs incident, the final months of his life and his funeral.
