Scope and Contents
Graham, a retired school teacher and former curator of the Vachel Lindsay Home, recalls aspects of early 20th century life including rural schools, farming, cooking, and family life; incidents from her childhood near Galena, Illinois; family history; college education, teaching experiences, former students, and fellow educators at Springfield High School. She also discusses Springfield, her recollections of poet Vachel Lindsay, the Lindsay Association, and her service as the curator of the Lindsay Home.
