Scope and Contents
The President's Office Subject File 1994-1996 consists of records from Naomi Lynn's administration. These files contain correspondence, reports, evaluations, invitations, proposals, and miscellaneous documents between President Lynn and such organizations as the American Political Science Association (APSA), League of Women Voters, American Society of Public Administration (ASPA), Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges (AGB), American Council on Education (ACE), and the Department of Energy and Natural Resources. There are also folders regarding academic deans, campus labor unions, university assembly committees, student organizations, Illinois government agencies, and the Governor's office.
Subjects include; Affirmative action, auditorium operations, commencements for the academic years 1995 and 1996, public affairs doctoral program, various faculty folders, labor relations, salary increases, and telecommunications. A number of files concern the change that occurred in 1995 when Sangamon State University became the University of Illinois at Springfield.
