Papers of Charles Schweighauser: Box 1 includes correspondence, memos, committee minutes, course proposals, lecture notes and examinations. Of particular interest are materials on Halley's comet (1985) and on the Sangamon River Valley. The file also contains a course, lecture series, pamphlet and videotape on Halley's Comet as a natural and historical phenomenom. Box 5: contains "The Sangamon River Valley" a course he taught every summer, (1983-89). It combined ecological, social and literary approaches. Box 7: contains "Sangamon Prairies, A Sense of Place." (1975-1986). A complex project from which emerged the course and documentary videotape, with clippings, correspondence and memos.
