Records include proposal for funding presented to the Kellog Foundation, The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), Regionalism in America, the Competitive Awards Program (CAP, and the Heinhold Company. The Sangamon River Basin Project was a program sponsored by the Center for the Study of Middle-Sized Cities. Its purpose was to inventory and analyze the natural and cultural resources of the Sangamon River Valley. Also included is material of the Sangamon 2000 conference (1980), highlighting letters of invitation, conference participants, and speeches given. The file was compiled by Malcolm Levin of the Environmental Studies Program.
