Scope and Contents
The Chancellor’s Office Subject File, 1992-2009, consists of correspondence and materials from Richard Ringeisen's administration but does include some older material from former Chancellor Naomi Lynn. These files contain correspondence, reports, evaluations, invitations, proposals, and miscellaneous documents between Chancellor Ringeisen and such organizations as the American Association of State Colleges & Universities (AASCU), National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce, Hope School, United Way.
Subjects include the design and dedication of the new University Hall on campus, the new APAC Grievance Procedure, Strategic Planning Committee, Capital Campaign, Alumni Association, Y2K planning, academic deans, faculty organizations and committees, Sangamo and other local clubs, Capital Scholars Program, as well as budgetary planning and concerns.
Earlier material includes discussion of SSU/UIS becoming a four-year institution.
