Box 2 includes correspondence, memos, course proposals, lecture notes, syllabuses and examinations. It also contains information regarding the UIS Observatory. Of particular interest are press releases, articles, and photographs pertaining to the University's telescope specifically designed to accommodate people in wheelchairs (the first such one in the country).

Box 4 contains 44 tapes from "The Sangamon River: A Sense of Place," from director Charles Schweighauser. This production examines the ecology, culture, economy, and history of the Sangamon River Valley.
