Scrapbook of Veta Donner Cloomer's Last Year at St. John's Nursing School, 1920-1922
Scope and Contents
This collection contains the personal papers of members of the Donner and Hill families of central Illinois. Materials include photographs, newspaper clippings, memorial books from funerals, correspondence, a scrapbook, and a diary, which document family relationships, reunions, vacations, and education. Additional subjects of the photographs and writings are late nineteenth century camping, train, and steamboat trips; recipes; the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago, Illinois; and the dress, education, and social life of nursing students in the early 1920s.
