This series is comprised of University events which are not provided for in other records groups or series such as: retirement flyers for Tom Goins, Curt Carlson, Jim Ford (nd), the Third Annual Employee of the Year Recognition dinner, December 11, 1985. The First Annual Governor's Cup Forensic Tournament flyer, Dec, 1980. Also included are flyers and posters announcing campus events sponsored by Student Life, 2005-2014.

Scope and Contents

Student Services Housing Records includes correspondence of Dean of Students, Homer Butler and housing coordinators Ernie Eden, Barbara Paiton, and Ted Rucker; applications, contracts, and resident lists for student housing units; brochures, guides, surveys, reports and rent projections for student housing. Also includes material relating to the Springfield Cooperative Housing Association and literature and slides relating to student housing at other universities.

The Athletics & Recreation Offices Subject File contains correspondence, budget material, program, memos and photographs concerning intramural basketball, the University YMCA, softball, martial arts, tennis, flag football, and soccer. The file was primarily created by Aydin Gonulsen & Homer Butler.

Scope and Contents Papers and tapes including schedules, programs, posters and other materials of Black Awareness Week (Spring 1973) which was held March 24-31, 1973. Sponsored by the Black Student Union, the week was subtitled, "A Journey Into the Black Culture." Speakers and groups included the Tony Zamora Combo, Alex Haley, Dick Gregory, and Aliza Thnadeka Ngono.
