Scope and Contents

The University of Illinois Alumni Association Newsletter was originally a tri-annual publication sent to Alumni of the Springfield Campus. Its first publication was Winter 1996 and was distributed Winter, Spring and Fall. The newsletter continued in a magazine format titled "Horizons" from 1996 to Summer of 2007 and was published quarterly. In Fall 2007, it continues as the "UIS Alumni Magazine" and is published in the Fall, Spring and Summer.

Scope and Contents The UIS Alumni SAGE Society created the Legacy Oral History Project to collect personal stories of individuals which reflect the University's founding and history. While many official documents exist that chronicle the development of SSU/UIS, few personal stories or memorabilia were available until this task was undertaken.
