      William F. Lee, railroad worker, recalls the different tasks he performed while working for the railroad, different types of railroad engines, and difficulties encountered on railroad runs. Also discusses farm work before he came to Springfield, Springfield businesses, the 1908 race riot, Illiopolis ammunition camp, Camp Ellis, and the Ku Klux Klan.
